Rumour: Next-gen Honda Amaze to borrow styling cues from City

The next-gen Honda Amaze is expected to be launched sometime next year. The details of the new model have already surfaced online which suggest that the new Amaze will borrow styling cues from the Honda City.

According to a media report, the new Amaze will reportedly be wider than the current model, although overall length will remain unchanged at under 4 meters. Thanks to a wider profile, interior volume is expected to increase. It will also get a redesigned dashboard, while material quality will be notched up a bit.

The next-gen Amaze will continue to use the same powertrains as the outgoing model. Honda offers a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine which produces 87 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 109 Nm of torque @ 4,500 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual or a CVT. The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit makes 99 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm @ 1,750 rpm and is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission.
