Rumour: Next-gen Mercedes C-Class India launch in May 2022

The C-Class competes with the BMW 3 Series and the Audi A4 in the premium mid-size sedan segment.

According to a media report, Mercedes-Benz is likely to launch the next-generation C-Class in India around May this year.

The new C-Class made its global debut in February 2021. The car gets a redesigned front fascia and features new LED headlamp clusters and a reprofiled grille. At the rear, it gets sleek LED tail lamps.

The new C-Class has a slightly longer wheelbase, which has helped improve cabin space marginally. On the inside, it features a vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a floating digital instrument cluster.

In the international market, the new C-Class is offered with petrol and diesel engine options. These include a 1.5L petrol, 2.0L petrol and a 2.0L diesel. All variants are equipped with a 48V mild-hybrid system.
