Rumour: Norton developing sub-500cc bike for India

According to a media report, Norton Motorcycles, in collaboration with the Kinetic Group is developing a sub-500cc bike for the Indian market. It is expected to be launched in 2021.

The report states that the new model could be called the Commando Cub and will be built in India. The Commando Cub is likely to be inspired by the Commando 961 range, featuring retro styling.

It has been reported that the Commando Cub could be positioned below the Norton Atlas with an engine capacity between 300-500cc. However, there has been no official word regarding this yet.

Norton's new sub-500cc bike for India is expected to compete with the Benelli Leoncino 500 and Bajaj-Triumph's upcoming bike.
