Tata Motors service centres have reportedly received circulars to replace the engine head of certain Tata Hexas. The carmaker hasn't made a public announcement regarding the recall yet. Therefore, the number of cars affected by this recall is unknown.

The Tata Hexa is powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine. It comes in two states of tune. In the base XE variant, it makes 148 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque @ 1,500-3,000 rpm. Higher variants get the same engine but with a peak output of 154 BHP and 400 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.
