Rumour: Tata Nexon Hybrid spotted testing

The Nexon could get a mild-hybrid powertrain.

Images of what could be the Tata Nexon hybrid have surfaced online.

Back in 2018, we had reported that Tata is working on a petrol mild-hybrid powertrain for the Nexon. At present, the SUV is available with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 118 BHP and 170 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT.

Rumours also suggest that this could be a flex-fuel engine under test.
