Rumour: Tiago JTP to be launched around Diwali

According to a media report, Tata Motors is planning to launch the Tiago JTP around Diwali. The JTP version of the Tigor compact sedan is expected to be launched at a later date.

The Tiago JTP is expected to get a sporty body kit featuring a new front bumper with revised fog lamp pods and smoked headlamps with projectors, redesigned rear bumper and twin-barrel exhaust. It could get a new vented bonnet and black inserts with JTP logos on the front fenders. The car is likely to get dual-tone alloy wheels and lowered suspension.

The JTP version could get black interiors with red trim, aluminium pedals and a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel. Tata might also offer a 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system similar to the one on the Tiago NRG.

The Tiago JTP is being developed in collaboration with Coimbatore-based Jayem Auto. It is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 108 BHP and 150 Nm of peak torque and is likely to be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission with reworked ratios.
