Rumour: TVS Apache RR 310S launch on December 6, 2017

Last week, we reported about leaked brochure scans of the upcoming TVS Apache RR 310S. Now, according to a media report, TVS will likely launch the bike on December 6, 2017.

The Apache RR 310S, formerly known as the Akula 310 has been in development for quite some time. It is the first model to spawn out of the TVS-BMW Motorrad partnership and shares its underpinnings with the BMW G 310R. Unlike the G 310R, which is a naked street bike, the Apache RR 310S is a fully-faired sports tourer.

It will be powered by the same 313 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as the BMW. While TVS hasn’t disclosed the final specifications, the same engine produces 33.5 BHP @ 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of torque @ 7,500 rpm on the BMW. That said, TVS might tune the engine differently to suit the Apache RR 310S. The 6-speed transmission is likely to be carried over from the BMW. Besides this, the spy images have indicated that the RR 310S will be offered disc brakes at both ends and ABS.

While reports of the possible launch have surfaced the internet, there has been no official word from TVS yet. In the Indian market, the TVS Apache RR 310S will compete against the likes of KTM RC390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Benelli 302R.
