Safari Storme with the Varicor 400 engine spotted again

Thanks to BHPian rajismine for sharing the images and information with fellow enthusiasts.

Earlier this year, the Safari Storme was spotted with a VARICOR 400 badge indicating that the update will be launched with a 400 Nm of torque rating. However, this SUV was given an update in June 2015 with minor cosmetic changes, some additional equipment and a 10 BHP gain in power but the same 320 Nm of torque.

Now, once again, the Safari Storme has been spotted wearing the VARICOR 400 badge indicating one of two things. One, the Safari Storme might soon get a bump in torque and possibly a higher power output as well. Second, this vehicle might be used to test the new HEXA crossover's engine and transmission performance. The spotter didn't manage to notice whether this was a 5-speed or a 6-speed gearbox.

The Hexa Concept was showcased with the same engine specs at the Geneva Motor Show. It is powered by the same 2.2 litre diesel motor (as the Safari Storme) which churned better output figures at 154 BHP and 400 Nm of torque.
