The 2017 Skoda Octavia facelift has been spotted testing without any camouflage near Aurangabad. This is the first time that the updated model has been spotted in the country. Earlier reports have indicated that Skoda will likely be launching the facelifted Octavia in India in Q3 2017, though no official announcement of the same has been made yet.

The spy shot indicates that the India-spec model will borrow its front face from the global model, which was unveiled in October last year. It gets a new front grille, split-headlamps that will likely get LED technology in the higher trims and a revised bumper that houses a larger air dam. The side profile is expected to remain largely unchanged, though Skoda might offer a new set of alloy wheels. The rear will likely include minor tweaks to the taillights and the bumper.

On the inside, the dashboard layout is expected to be similar to what is seen on the current model. However, the updated Octavia might get a new instrument cluster with a revised MID screen and a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and Skoda's connect technologies.

Powertrain options on offer are expected to be similar to the current model's power plants - 1.4 TSI petrol with a 6-speed MT, 1.8 TSI petrol with a 7-speed DSG and 2.0 TDI diesel with a 6-speed AT.
