Scoop! 4-door Mahindra Reva e2o caught on test

Thank you to Karthik Duraisamy for sending in these images. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing them with other enthusiasts!

The Mahindra Reva e2o has been spotted in its 4-door guise on the Bangalore-Hosur highway. Mahindra's small electric car hasn't seen much success in India, but the addition of rear doors could see the e2o gain a little more practical appeal.

The test mule was snapped while covered in a heavy camouflage, but Karthik says the car appears to share the same proportions as the 2-door e2o, with a slightly longer rear end. The instrument cluster appeared to be shared with the current car, while the tail lights seem to have been restyled and sit higher up.

Earlier this year, it was learnt that Mahindra had plans for a 4-door e2o for export markets like Europe. The four-door variant is likely to be introduced by mid-2016 and the company also plans to set up a distribution centre in the United Kingdom. While the 4-door may be targeted at export markets, Mahindra will most likely allocate a few units to India as well.
