Scoop! Honda CB500F showcased in India; launch soon?

The Honda CB500F shares its underpinnings with the CB500X sports tourer.

Honda has showcased the CB500F in India. The bike is currently put on display at the Bigwing showroom in Bangalore.

Honda appears to have imported the CB500F to gauge customer interest. The decision to launch it in the Indian market would depend on the customer feedback.

The CB500F is a middleweight naked bike. It is powered by a 471cc, parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that develops 47 BHP @ 8,600 rpm and 43 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slip-and-assist clutch.

The bike rides on 41 mm Showa upside-down fork suspension at the front with a monoshock at the rear. It has disc brakes at both ends, assisted by dual-channel ABS.
