Scoop! Honda Jazz facelift variant details leaked

Honda is rumoured to launch the Jazz facelift later this month. Variant details that have just leaked online indicate that the car will be offered in two petrol and three diesel variants.

According to the documents, the base S variant will only be offered with a diesel engine. It comes with features like air-conditioning, tilt steering, audio system with 3.5-inch screen and steering mounted audio controls, height adjustable driver seat, electric ORVMs, rear defogger and 15-inch steel wheels to name a few. New additions include a front centre armrest, speed sensing auto door lock, rear parking sensors as well as driver and passenger side vanity mirror.

The V variant gets Honda Smart key System with keyless remote, engine start/stop button, smart trunk lock with keyless release and cruise control on the petrol CVT and diesel versions. Other features include automatic air-conditioning with touchscreen, rear view camera, infotainment system with 5-inch screen, Bluetooth with audio streaming support and electric foldable ORVMs.

The top-spec VX trim gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay connectivity and a remote control, voice commands, multi-functional steering wheel and LED tail lights. In terms of safety equipment, the Jazz facelift will come with dual front airbags and ABS with EBD as standard. 

The same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines are expected to be carried over onto the updated model. The petrol engine develops 89 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 110 Nm @ 4,800 rpm. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual and CVT with paddle shifts. The diesel unit produces 99 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm @ 1,750 rpm and will be paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The new Jazz is likely to be available in 5 colour options - Radiant Red, Lunar Silver, Orchid White, Golden Brown and Modern Steel.
