The Creta is one highly anticipated launch from Hyundai, scheduled to hit showrooms soon. This car will be available in 6 trim variants - Base, S, S+, SX, SX+ and SX(O). It will be available with a choice of a 1.6 litre petrol motor producing 124 BHP @ 6,300 rpm and 151 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. This unit will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and will be available in the Base, S and SX+ trim variants.

There will be 2 diesel engine options - 1.4 litre and a 1.6 litre. The 1.4 litre produces 89 BHP and 220 Nm of torque. This will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and will be available in the SX, SX+ and SX(O) trim. The 1.6 litre diesel motor will be available only in the SX+ trim and will be mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It will produce 131 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 260 Nm @ 1900-2,750 rpm.

Anti-lock Braking System is standard across the range. Apart from the Base and S trim variants, the others get dual airbags too. The SX(O) is equipped with side and curtain airbags too. The SX(O) also gets Electronic Stability Control and Vehicle Stability Management System. Interestingly, this variant will be equipped with the 1.4 litre diesel engine only and not the 1.6!

The exteriors of all the variants feature body coloured bumpers and black A and B pillars. The S variant and higher get front fog lamps and a rear defogger too. The SX variants and higher get a dual tone front grill, while the S+ variant and lower get a black grill. The SX+ and SX(O) get chrome door handles, while the other variants get body coloured handles. The SX(O) gets 17" diamond cut wheels, while the S+, SX and SX+ get 16" alloy wheels. The Base and S variant get 16" steel wheels. Projector headlamps, roof rack and rear wiper + washer are standard on the SX, SX+ and SX(O) variant.

Features such as tilt adjustment for the steering wheel, central locking, power windows, battery savery, rear air-con vents and dual horn are standard across the range. The S variant and higher get a height adjustable driver's seat, electrically adjustable ORVMs and rear centre armrest among other features. The S+ variants and higher get rear parking sensors, rear parking camera with adaptive guidelines over ECM display (not available in SX), impact sensing auto door unlock, smart key with start/stop button (not in SX)The SX variant and higher get electrically foldable ORVMs and climate control. All variants get cloth seat upholstery but the SX(O) gets artificial leather on the seats, gear knob and steering wheel.

The base variant gets a 2-din audio system with CD, USB and AUX connectivity + 4 speakers. The S and SX get a 5" touchscreen audio with MP3 and Bluetooth connectivity. The S+, SX+ and SX(O) get a 7" touchscreen system with navigation. The S variants and higher get 4 speakers + 2 tweeters and controls on the steering wheel for audio and Bluetooth.

The Creta will be available in 7 body colours - Sleek Silver, Star Dust, Pearl Beige, Polar White, Red Passion, Mystic Blue and Phantom Black.
