Scoop! More powerful Jeep Compass with BS6 petrol engine

A test mule of the Jeep Compass with a BS6 compliant petrol engine has been spotted.

The window tag on the car suggests that it is the Sport variant. The car is powered by a BS6 compliant 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 168 BHP, which makes it more powerful than the BS4 petrol engine that is available right now.

At present, the Jeep Compass is offered with a 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 160 BHP and 250 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission that drives the front wheels.

The Jeep Compass BS6 is expected to be launched before the new emission norms come into effect from April 2020.
