Scoop! Mahindra XUV700 all-wheel-drive variants recalled

The exact number of cars affected by this recall is not known.

Mahindra has silently issued a recall of the XUV700 over an issue related to the propeller shaft.

According to the company, it’s a critical service action during which an inspection of the propeller shaft bolts will be carried out. Select all-wheel-drive variants of the XUV700 are said to be affected by this issue.

The Mahindra XUV700 was launched in August last year. The SUV is offered with two engine options. These include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol producing 197 BHP and 380 Nm and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that makes 182 BHP and 420 Nm (MT) / 450 Nm (AT). Both engines come with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is only available with the diesel engine paired with a 6-speed automatic.

The exact number of cars affected by this recall is not known.
