Scoop: Refreshed Hyundai Elantra spied; gets black interiors

Thank you to BHPian amithsebastian for sharing these images with other enthusiasts.

Hyundai is gearing up to launch a mildly refreshed version of the Elantra sedan. The images give us a glimpse into some of the changes that can be expected on the car.

At the front, the shape of the headlamps remains the same, but the elements have changes. The car now gets a set of projectors with daytime running lights. The grille appears to be unchanged, but the bumper is slightly tweaked with larger fog lamp housings. The fog lamps themselves appear slimmer and taller than those of the current model.

At the rear, the tail lamp elements are new. The bumper is restyle as well with new reflectors and a blackened lower portion.

On the inside, the beige and black dashboard of the current Elantra has been replaced by a black unit with silver detailing. The two air conditioner vents at the centre have moved upwards and are larger than the ones on the outgoing car. The infotainment system has a larger screen and two rotarty knobs instead of one. The instrument cluster, steering wheel and climate control unit have been carried over. Like the dashboard, the seats and door panels are black as well. The audio controls on the centre arm rest for the rear passengers have been left out.

Hyundai is likely to launch the refreshed Elantra this week. However, the company has not disclosed any particular date.
