Recent spy images indicate that Tata Motors could be planning to launch a limited-edition version of the Hexa. It will be offered in an exclusive shade of metallic brown and could get a few other cosmetic updates as well.

Much like the standard Hexa, the limited-edition model gets chrome trim around the gloss black grille and smoked headlamps. The front bumper gets an integrated scuff plate finished in silver, while the fog lamp-LED DRL combo gets gloss black trim around it. It will be offered with 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels that are standard on the XT trim.

The Hexa Limited Edition is expected to be offered with the same 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine of the regular Hexa. In the XE trim, it produces 148 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque @ 1,500-3,000 rpm. The XM and XT variants get a higher state of tune that makes 154 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque @ 1,700-2,700 rpm.

While the base variant is offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox, XM and XT variants get the option of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The top-spec XT variant is offered with an all-wheel drive system.

At present, the standard Hexa is offered with a choice of 5 colours - Arizona Blue, Tungsten Silver, Pearl White, Platinum Silver and Sky Grey.
