Scoop! Tata Punch EV prototype spotted on a flatbed

The Tata Punch EV will compete with the recently launched Citroen eC3 in the Indian market.

The Tata Punch EV has been captured on camera for the first time. The camouflaged prototype was spotted on a flatbed near Lonavala recently.

At first glance, it might look like a regular Tata Punch. However, upon close inspection, you will realize that the car hasn't got an exhaust at the back. Also note that the test mule is equipped with rear disc brakes, which aren't available on the ICE version.

The exterior design of the Punch EV looks identical, with little to no changes on the outside. However, we can expect the EV to get a slightly tweaked front fascia and blue accents to differentiate it from the regular Punch.

While technical details of the all-electric Punch are not available, we can expect the car to be based on Tata's Ziptron architecture offering around 300 km of range. When launched, it will compete with the Citroen eC3 in the Indian market.
