Scoop! Tata Safari Storme facelift interior spied!

A big thank you to Neel Kirane for sharing these images with fellow enthusiasts!

Tata has been working on a facelift for the Safari Storme for several months now. Earlier spy shots caught the SUV sans camouflage and showcased updates like the honeycomb grille and a restyled front bumper. While the exterior shots have given us an idea of the new look, we now have fresh images of the interior.

On first impressions, the changes aren’t nearly as monumental as they were with the new Scorpio. The vehicle gets an audio system with Bluetooth connectivity and a new steering wheel with integrated controls just like the Zest. The dashboard is a combination of black and silver. The centre console has been tweaked and features a metallic silver finish, as does the gear lever. The speakers get thin chrome surrounds as well.

Once again, the Storme’s exterior was captured sporting the VARICOR 400 badge on the front fender. This indicates that it could be powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel unit that was showcased on the Hexa Concept at the Geneva motor show. On the Hexa, this motor churned out 154 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. The outgoing Storme produces 138 BHP and 320 Nm of torque.
