Skoda Enyaq iV EV spied in India; potential launch in 2023

The Skoda Enyaq iV electric crossover is expected to be imported as a CBU.

Skoda is said to be gearing up to launch the Enyaq iV crossover - its first EV, in India. According to media reports, Skoda is expected to introduce the vehicle in the Indian market sometime in early 2023.

Ahead of its launch, the Skoda Enyaq iV EV has been spied in India. Reports suggest that Skoda has imported the electric crossover for testing purposes. From the spy images, it appears that Skoda has imported the Enyaq iV Lounge trim. This variant comes with Skoda's Anodised Cross Decor, 19-inch Proteus alloy wheels, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, digital instrument cluster, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a mix of leather and microfibre fabric upholstery all over the cabin with contrast stitching on the seats.

The test car spied in India is also said to come with the highest specifications on offer by Skoda. This is in the form of a 77 kWh battery pack, paired with dual electric motors (one on each axle) producing a combined output of 265 BHP. The electric crossover is also said to have a range of 513 km on a single charge (WLTP-cycle), while also being capable of sprinting from 0 - 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. Skoda could also offer a lower-spec two-wheel drive variant in India to help lower the starting price.

The Skoda Enyaq iV electric crossover is expected to be imported via the CBU-route as part of the 2,500-unit rule. Reports suggest that prices for the Enyaq iV will be announced at the 2023 Auto Expo, with deliveries said to begin in March.
