Skoda Kushaq to be launched on June 28

The crossover will be offered with two turbo-petrol engine options - 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre

Skoda is gearing up to launch the Kushaq on June 28. The crossover made its global debut in March this year. It is the first model under the brand’s India 2.0 project.

The Kushaq is based on the MQB A0-IN platform, which is shared with the Volkswagen Taigun. It measures 4,225 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width, 1,612 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,651 mm.

The crossover will be offered with two engine options – a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with 113 BHP paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol producing 148 BHP. The latter will be mated to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Kushaq is expected to come equipped with features such as automatic LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting and a sunroof.
