Skoda Octavia RS iV hybrid coming to India in 2023

The Octavia RS iV is super quick despite being slightly kinder to the environment.

If there’s one car that’s made a place for itself in the performance sedan market in India, it’s the Skoda Octavia RS and in 2023, a new model will reach our shores.

According to media reports, Skoda will launch the Octavia RS iV plug-in hybrid sedan in India later this year. It will be imported via the CBU route.

The latest iteration of the Octavia RS is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine, which is smaller than the 2.0-litre unit offered on the previous model. However, the 148 BHP internal combustion engine is paired with an electric motor that has an output of 113 BHP.

The Octavia RS iV is super quick despite being slightly kinder to the environment. Skoda claims it will hit 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. Thanks to a 13 kWh battery pack, it can even cover 60 km on electric power alone.
