Skoda has announced the launch of the Slavia 1.0L TSI. The new mid-size sedan is available in three variants - Active, Ambition and Style, with prices starting at Rs. 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices for the 1.5L variants will be announced later.
The Skoda Slavia is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, which it shares with the Kushaq. The car measures 4,541 mm in length, 1,752 mm in width, 1,487 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,651 mm. It has a ground clearance of 179 mm and comes with a 521-litre boot. With the rear seats folded, luggage capacity increases to 1,050 litres.
The Slavia features a typical Skoda front end. It has a large grille with vertical slats flanked by LED headlamp clusters that have integrated L-shaped LED daytime running lights. At the rear, the sedan features Skoda's familiar C-shaped taillights.
The Slavia comes equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 2-spoke steering wheel, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats in the front, wireless charging and 6 airbags.
The Slavia is available with two turbo-petrol engine options. The 1.0-litre engine produces 113 BHP and 178 Nm, while the 1.5-litre engine makes 148 BHP and 250 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DSG.
