Skoda is said to increase the prices of the Slavia mid-size sedan from June 1, 2022. A price hike of Rs 50,000 sounds pretty steep, however, what's disappointing is that both the Slavia and VW Virtus are likely to lose some features as well.
Reports suggest that the Skoda Slavia and VW Virtus will no longer get the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It is likely to be downgraded to an aftermarket Panasonic 8-inch unit. It is also said that wireless charging will be removed from both models.
Both the Slavia and Virtus share the same MQB A0-IN platform and are offered with the same powertrain options: 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 113 BHP and 178 Nm and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit with 148 BHP and 250 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DSG.
