Skoda Superb facelift coming in January / February 2014

Skoda India is expected to launch the facelifted Superb sedan in late January or early February, 2014.

Pictures suggest that Skoda’s flagship sedan will feature some minor changes to the exterior. At the front there is a redesigned front grille, which bears resemblance to that of the recently launched Octavia, new headlights and a new bumper and fog lights.

Coming to the rear, the tail lamp cluster has been changed. There is also a new bumper and the number plate of the car has been relocated to the boot lid.

Whether Skoda makes any changes to the interior of the car or its equipment remains to be seen.

The Superb is expected to continue with a choice of two engines, a 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel.

The Superb, has been one of the better performings sedans in the D2 segment, consistently outselling its rivals from Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai and VW.
