Skoda Yeti could make a comeback in India

The Skoda Yeti was discontinued in 2017 and replaced by the Kodiaq.

Skoda CEO Klaus Zelmer is a big fan of the Yeti. In a recent interview, Zelmer said that he is toying with the idea of reviving the model. However, he does not see a future for it in Europe.

Zelmer believes the Yeti has great potential due to its popularity, especially in emerging markets. He categorically stated that the new edition of the SUV could be introduced in India.

Skoda launched the Yeti in the Indian market in 2010. It received a mid-life facelift in 2014. The SUV was powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine, which came in two states of tune. The 4x2 variant had 109 BHP and 250 Nm, while the 4x4 variant had 138 BHP and 320 Nm. Both variants came equipped with a manual transmission.

The Yeti was discontinued in 2017. It was replaced by the 7-seater Kodiaq.
