South Korea - Next-gen Hyundai Elantra spied undisguised

The sixth-generation Hyundai Elantra has been spotted without any camouflage. These pictures are believed to have been taken the Hyundai factory in South Korea.

The new Elantra looks radically different compared to the current model. At the front, it has a large, hexagonal grille with horizontal slats and sweptback, projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights. The bumper houses round fog lamps at both ends with chrome bezels.

On each side, the car has a pair of character lines, body-coloured door handles and door mirrors with integrated turn-indicators. The roof line slopes downwards and the window line rises towards the rear of the car.

At the rear, there is a pair of wraparound tail lamp clusters and a bumper with thin, long reflectors at both ends. Other features include a shark fin antenna and 10-spoke alloy wheels.

On the inside, the new Elantra gets a redesigned dashboard with silver and chrome inserts. There is multifunction steering wheel and a twin-pod new instrument cluster with an MID. The air vents have been restyled and the infotainment system is new.

The centre console is restyled and houses new controls for the climate control unit. The car also has aluminium pedals and an automatic gearbox. There are a couple of cup holders next to the handbrake lever.

The new Elantra is expected to make its debut next month.
