Suzuki GSX-S750, GSX-R1000R recalled for a fuel pump issue

According to a media report, Suzuki has recalled the GSX-S750 and GSX-R1000R in India for fuel leaks that might be caused due to a faulty fuel tank inner vessel and O-ring set in the fuel pump.

It was found that the fuel pump O-rings in both engines were getting twisted, allowing fuel to leak out. Suzuki has redesigned the O-rings and will be replacing the old set which had a D-shaped cross-section with O-rings with a round cross-section.

Customers have been notified about the recall. The replacement O-rings will be provided free of cost.

The GSX-S750 and GSX-R1000R are part of a global recall. The Suzuki V-Strom 650 sold in the international market has also been recalled for the same issue. However, Suzuki has said that the V-Strom 650XT ABS sold in India is not affected by this issue.
