Suzuki Jimny 55th Anniversary Edition unveiled

The 55th Anniversary Jimny is numbered and comes with a commemorative plaque at the bottom of the centre console.

Suzuki has unveiled the Jimny 55th Anniversary Edition to commemorate the iconic off-roader, which has sold over 3 million units worldwide in the last 55 years. Only 55 units will be available, and they will be exclusive to France. Suzuki says it’s a swansong for the little SUV as it gets discontinued in the French market.

The 55th Anniversary Jimny is numbered and comes with a commemorative plaque at the bottom of the centre console. It comes in four colours: White, Jungle Green, Bluish Black, and Medium Gray.

In addition to standard equipment, the limited edition model gets:

  • A retro Suzuki design grille.
  • Retro design side stickers.
  • A soft Rhino spare wheel cover, featuring the famous stylized rhino associated with the Jimny since the 1980s.
  • Rubber floor mats in the passenger compartment and trunk.
  • Jimny-branded mud flaps in red behind the front and rear wheels.
  • A travel journal with an embossed leather cover to record your best memories aboard the iconic Suzuki 4x4.
  • A matching key ring.

Additionally, customers will be offered a 4x4 course to hone their off-roading skills and get the most out of their SUVs.

The 55th Anniversary Suzuki Jimny features a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Suzuki Jimny first came out in 1970 and has seen four generations since then. The current-gen model has been on sale since 2018.  The Indian market gets a 5-door version of the SUV.

The Suzuki Jimny 55th Anniversary Edition is priced at 28,955 euros (Rs. 28.71 lakh).
