Suzuki launches disc brake variants of Gixxer and Gixxer SF

Suzuki has launched the rear disc variants of the Gixxer and Gixxer SF motorcycles in India.

The Gixxer is now available with a rear disc brake as an option in the following colours - Lush Green / Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue / Pearl Mirage White and Candy Sonoma Red / Glass Sparkle Black. It is priced at Rs. 79,726 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Gixxer SF comes with a rear disc brake as standard in the following colours - Pearl Mirage Red and Glass Sparkle Black. It is priced at Rs. 87,343 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The MotoGP Edition (Metallic Triton Blue) with a rear disc brake is priced at Rs. 88,857 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Gixxer and Gixxer SF are powered by a 154.9cc, single-cylinder, carbureted, air-cooled engine that develops 14.6 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque @ 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The launch took place in New Delhi at the Suzuki Gixxer Day - a gathering of Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF owners. The event saw performances by Aras Gibieza, European Freestyle Champion and some other performers and entertainers. Lucky draws and contests were also organized for all the participants. This event shall visit Kolkata, Shillong, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune.
