Suzuki S-Cross facelift officially revealed in Hungary

After multiple spy images of the Suzuki S-Cross facelift were leaked on the internet last week, pictures from an official event in Hungary have now surfaced online. The images were reportedly taken during a showcasing event for selected audience in Hungary.

The mid-life facelift gets cosmetic modifications at the front. These includes an upright front grille with vertical chrome slats, new headlamps with projectors, a redesigned bumper that now gets black cladding on the lower area and a beefed-up hood. The side profile and silhouette of the car remains identical to the current model, though a new set of alloys is clearly visible in the images. Meanwhile, the rear gets redesigned tail lights, and black cladding on the bumper that also houses a faux skid plate.

Engine options on the India-spec S-Cross are expected to be similar to those being offered in the current model, i.e. 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engines. A new 1.5-litre petrol might be added with the facelift to take care of the rising demand of petrol cars in the market.

The Suzuki S-Cross facelift will make its global debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in October. It will go on sale in the UK around the end of this year, while it is still not certain when Maruti Suzuki will bring the facelifted model to India.
