Tata Altroz XT variant now gets automatic climate control

Tata is now offering automatic climate control in the mid-spec XT variant of the Altroz hatchback. Despite the addition of a new feature, there has been no change in the price of this variant.

The automatic climate control in the Altroz can be operated using voice commands. Until now, this feature was only available in the XZ and XZ (O) variants.

The XT variant also gets a touchscreen infotainment head-unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, cruise control, keyless entry with engine start/stop button and cornering headlamps. It misses out on other features like projector headlamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, rear wiper and washer, height adjustable driver's seat and the semi-digital instrument cluster.

The Altroz is available with BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 85 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm @ 3,300 rpm. The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel unit puts out 89 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm @ 1,250-3,000 rpm. Both engines come paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
