Tata E-VISION electric sedan concept unveiled at Geneva

Tata Motors has unveiled its E-VISION Sedan Concept at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. It is an electric vehicle (EV) concept based on the Impact 2.0 design philosophy.

The four-door concept has slim LED headlights in the front, while vertical LED DRLs are placed on the bumper. The gloss black front fascia has brushed aluminium trim that stretches along the width of the car. Similarly, there is silver trim on the lower edge of the bumpers and along the door sills and window line. At the rear, the concept car has wraparound LED tail lights with the 'E-VISION' badge on the boot lid.

On the inside, the E-VISION Sedan Concept has a 3-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument panel. The interior is finished in beige leather upholstery with wooden trim pieces on the dashboard and door panels. The dashboard contains two hidden displays that pop out only when required. The top display is a slim, yet long display while the lower one looks more conventional and appears to be a touchscreen unit. Further, Tata claims that the rear seat will be fully adjustable as well. 

The E-VISION Sedan Concept is based on Tata's OMEGA EV architecture. Tata Motors hasn't revealed the technical details of the car however the company claims that the E-VISION concept will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 7 seconds and it has a top speed of 200 km/h, while maximum gradeability is 40%. The batteries can be charged via slow charging AC or fast charging DC.

The E-VISION Sedan Concept comes with predictive energy management systems that are based on live traffic information and routes. It comes with advanced driver assistance systems and has integrated connected technologies like cloud computing, analytics and geo-spatial mapping. The car has the capability to forecast service requirement as well.
