Tata Harrier.ev top speed and kerb weight revealed

The Harrier.ev is capable of reaching speeds exceeding 200 km/h.

Tata Motors recently launched the Harrier.ev in the Indian market. It comes with a dual-motor setup, which gives it all-wheel drive capabilities. Now, new details about the electric SUV have emerged, including its top speed and kerb weight.

The electric motors that power the front and rear axles of the Harrier.ev together deliver 287 BHP and 504 Nm of torque, which allows the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.

Anand Kulkarni, Chief Products Officer at Tata Motors Passenger Electric Mobility, has confirmed that it has an electronically limited top speed of 180 km/h. According to him, the Harrier.ev is actually capable of reaching even greater speeds, exceeding 200 km/h. However, the company did not see the point of raising it further.

What’s more, the Harrier.ev is capable of hitting triple-digit speeds in a quick time despite its weight. Depending on the variant, the Harrier.ev weighs 300-400 kg more than the diesel Harrier. The RWD version tips the scales at 2,235 kg, while the QWD version weighs 2,336 kg. Kulkarni said that Tata was able to achieve a 47:53 weight distribution.
