Tata Hexa snapped undisguised

Images of what is believed to be the production-spec Tata Hexa have surfaced on the internet. The vehicle spotted sports an XT badge, which suggests that it is the top-spec variant of the car.

The images suggest that the production version of the Hexa will carry over the styling of the concept that was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. The vehicle is based on the Aira crossover, but has a flatter bonnet, a honeycomb mesh grille with a thick chrome strip on the lower edge, new projector headlamps, revised bumpers, body cladding, blackened B, C and D-pillars, wraparound LED tail lamps and chrome exhaust tips. The vehicle rides on five-spoke alloy wheels.

On the inside, the Hexa is likely to carry over many of the features from the vehicle displayed at Geneva. These include a  dual tone dashboard, multifunction steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, six captain seats, AC vents for the second and third row and LED ambient interior lighting.

The Hexa is expected to be powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder VARICOR 400 diesel engine that puts out 154 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. A 6-speed automatic transmission could also be offered.
