Tata Motors readies Nano Twist facelift for launch

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch a facelifted version of the Nano Twist. A fleet of Nanos has been spotted at the parking lot of the company's facility at Sanand in the state of Gujarat.

The refreshed Nano Twist is rumoured to be called "Active". It gets cosmetic changes such as redesigned bumpers with honeycomb grilles, smoked headlamps and new, round fog lamps. The thin chrome strip on the bonnet has been replaced by a thick black unit with an integrated the Tata logo. The car also gets an openable hatch with a restyled rear windshield.

The Active will carry over the Nano Twist XT's electric power assisted steering (EPAS), which makes it easier to drive and park. The top-end variant, expected to be called the XTA, will get an F-Tronic automated manual transmission.

Tata Motors is also likely to update the interiors of the car as well. Probable changes include better upholstery and a new steering wheel. The car is expected to be loaded with features to make it more appealing.

The launch of the Nano Twist Active is speculated to take place in April 2015.
