I completed the 5th service for my Cron last Saturday when the odometer was around 29,850 km. I did this service a little early because I was planning to travel for the Ganesha festival. As usual, I called Classic Motors and booked an appointment for Saturday, August 31st.
Since there were no complaints from my side, the 30k service was done according to Tata's service recommendations.
The total bill came to around Rs. 10,200
Classic Motors did a wonderful job with the service. I can feel that the car is pulling more effortlessly and is much quieter. Also, since they changed the AC filter, cabin cooling has been much faster. I thoroughly enjoyed driving back home.
However, I was surprised to find a minor issue two days after the service: there was a small oil leak from the sump area. Since I was planning a 1,000 km trip that same week, I immediately took the car to a nearby Tata service center, where the leak was identified. The leak was from the oil sump gasket, and after replacing the gasket and applying sealant, the issue was resolved.
Although the gasket was replaced under warranty, I needed to pay for the sealant charge, which was around Rs. 850.
This week, I completed a 1,000 km drive to Chikkamagalur and Sringeri. I really enjoyed both the natural scenery and the drive. I'm looking forward to my next trip!..
