Tata to open 100 new dealerships this fiscal

According to a media report, Tata Motors plans to open 100 new dealerships before the end of this fiscal year.

At present, Tata is said to have 860 sales outlets spread across India. Out of these, 100 outlets were added in the current financial year alone. So, by the end of FY2019-20, Tata Motors will have 960 sales touch points.

The report suggests that Tata Motors is also be closing down under performing dealerships. However, the exact number of such dealerships is not known.

The carmaker is planning to unveil the Nexon EV later this month. With the new Altroz, the company aims to increase its presence to around 60% of the total passenger vehicle market.
