Tata Power launches electric vehicle charging point in Mumbai

Tata Power has installed their first electric vehicle charging station in Mumbai. The charging point has been setup at the Tata Power Receiving Station in Vikhroli.

The new charging station is expected to facilitate electric car users in the city and is seen as the first step towards setting up a diverse charging infrastructure in India. Over the coming years, the company aims to build a network of charging stations so that more people adopt EVs and help achieve the government's target to replace all existing vehicles with electric cars by 2030. They have taken this initiative of providing charging stations along with Mass - Tech Controls. Apart from charging the batteries of the various electric vehicles, these chargers will also monitor the status of the batteries and the units consumed.

Tata Power is set to expand it charging infrastructure to other locations in Mumbai and is currently in talks with various stakeholders.
