Tata Punch awarded a 5-star safety rating by GNCAP

The Tata Punch passed the UN95 side impact test.

It's official! The Tata Punch has received a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. The car scored 16.453 points for adult occupant safety and 40.891 points for child occupant protection.

According to the crash test report, the Punch offered good protection to the driver and passenger's head, neck, chest and knees. Driver tibias showed adequate protection while passenger tibias showed adequate and good protection.

The bodyshell was rated as stable and was capable of withstanding further loadings. The footwell area was also rated as stable. The car passed the UN95 side impact test.

The child seat for the 3-year old and 1.5-year old was able to prevent excessive forward movement during the impact and offered good protection to the head and chest of both dummies.

The test car was equipped with dual front airbags, front seat belt pretensioners, seat belt reminder, ISOFIX and ABS.
