Tata Tigor diesel recalled for emission issues

Tata Motors has announced a voluntary recall campaign for the diesel variants of the Tigor to rectify potential emission issues. 

The affected cars were manufactured between March 6, 2017 and December 1, 2017 and bear chassis no. from MAT629401GKP52721 to MAT629401HKN89616. Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by dealer representatives to get the issue rectified at their nearest authorised service centre. Service appointments can be booked via this toll free no. - 1800 209 7979.

The Tata Tigor is powered by a 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine which produces 69 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque @ 1,800-3,000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. According to Tata Motors, the issue is not related to the safety of the vehicle and shouldn't be a cause of concern.
