Tata Tigor EV spied; Long-range version on the cards?

The Tigor EV comes with a 26 kWh battery that offers a range of 306 km.

Images of a heavily camouflaged test mule of the Tata Tigor EV have surfaced online. It has led to speculations that Tata Motors could be working on a long-range version of the electric car.

The updated Tigor EV could get a larger battery pack with improved range, similar to the upcoming Nexon EV, which is expected to get a 40 kWh battery pack. The additional 10 kWh capacity is estimated to increase the maximum range of the electric SUV to 400 km.

At present, the Tigor EV is powered by a 26 kWh liquid-cooled, IP 67 rated, high energy density battery pack. It offers an ARAI certified range of 306 km. The electric motor powering the car has an output of 74 BHP and 170 Nm.
