Tata Tigor & Nexon special Geneva editions showcased

Tata Motors has showcased special Geneva editions of two of its upcoming products - the Tigor compact sedan and the Nexon Compact SUV, at the 87th Geneva Motor Show. The Indian automaker has also unveiled its first car under the TAMO sub-brand - the Racemo sports coupe.

The front fascia of the Tigor resembles that of the Tiago hatchback. It is based on Tata's new IMPACT design philosophy. The headlights are similar to that of the Tiago, but have been blacked out on the Tigor. It also features a different front bumper design with more pronounced fog lamp housings. The Tigor Geneva edition gets a blacked out roof and ORVMs, and is available only with the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine.

The Nexon Geneva edition features design cues that are similar to the production-ready concept that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Greater Noida. The Nexon compact SUV is also based on Tata's new IMPACT design language. It gets projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 17-inch alloys, LED taillamps, roof rails and a blacked out c-pillar that offers the floating roof affect to the car's silhouette. The Nexon Geneva edition is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that is mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Safety features on offer include dual airbags, ABS, EBD and cornering stability control.
