Tata Tigor: Pre-bookings open ahead of March 29 launch

Tata Motors has started accepting pre-bookings of the Tigor compact sedan, ahead of its official launch on March 29, 2017. Interested customers can now book the Tigor at all Tata dealerships across the country by paying a booking amount of Rs. 5,000.

The Tigor is the compact sedan sibling of the Tiago hatchback. Tata Motors is calling the car a Styleback. It is the third vehicle to feature Tata's IMPACT design philosophy after the Tiago and the Hexa. While the front fascia is inspired from the Tiago, the side features a sloping roofline, a larger rear door and a stubby boot. The rear end features wrap-around tail lamps, a chrome bar in the middle and a large LED high mounted stop lamp housed in the black roof-mounted spoiler.

Engine options for the Tigor will include the same 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder Revotorq diesel and 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engines that are found in the Tiago hatchback. Initially, the car will be available only with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
