Tata Zica base variant spied inside plant

The base variant of the upcoming Tata Zica hatchback has been spotted inside the company's plant.

The images suggest that the car gets black bumpers at the front and rear and black door handles. Features such as front and rear fog lamps and rear wiper have not been deleted. Like the higher variants, the ORVMs are body coloured and have integrated turn-indicators. The tailgate of the car gets an integrated spoiler with a stop lamp.

The images also reveal that the front fog lamps housings lose their chrome accents and the alloy wheels have been replaced by steel units.

The Zica is expected to be available with a 1.05 litre diesel and a 1.2 litre petrol engine. CNG, LPG and AMT or e-clutch equipped variants of the cars could also be offered.

Tata Motors will manufacture the Zica at its plant in Sanand, Gujarat. The car is expected to go on sale in January 2016.
