Tesla scouting for showroom spaces in 3 Indian cities

Tesla is looking to set up its first showrooms in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

According to a media report, US-based electric carmaker Tesla is scouting for showroom spaces in three Indian cities.

Tesla is said to be looking for commercial spaces of around 20,000-30,000 sq. ft. each in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. These facilities will house showrooms and service centres.

The report states that the company has hired an executive to complete the groundwork ahead of its planned entry into the Indian market.

The EV maker has already set up its Indian subsidiary called Tesla India Motors and Energy Pvt. Ltd. with its registered office located in Bangalore. The company is expected to enter the premium EV space with the Model 3 later this year.
