Toyota Fortuner Facelift teased on website

The Fortuner will get a new variant called the Legender.

Toyota has teased the upcoming Fortuner facelift on the brand's Indian website. The SUV will be unveiled on January 6, 2021.

The 2021 Fortuner will be available in two trims - standard and Legender. 10 variants are expected to be on offer, including the Legender.

The standard Fortuner also gets minor cosmetic updates including a new grille, revised headlamps and bumpers, as well as a redesigned rear fascia. The Fortuner Legender gets a different front fascia with slim LED headlights. At the rear, the SUV gets a redesigned bumper and gloss black trim between the tail lamp clusters. It rides on 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

The Legender variant will be equipped with features like a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit that has Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless charging, 360-degree camera, lane departure warning system, radar-guided cruise control and a wheel orientation sensor.

The Fortuner will be offered with two engine options. These include an updated 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine that makes 201 BHP and 500 Nm and a 2.7-litre petrol unit that puts out 164 BHP and 245 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is likely to be available only in the diesel variants.
