Toyota GR Corolla to be showcased at Auto Expo 2023

The GR Corolla is the sporty version of the Corolla hatchback developed by Toyota’s Gazoo Racing (GR) division.

Toyota will be showcasing the Innova Hycross and the Land Cruiser LC300 at Auto Expo 2023. However, enthusiasts would be pleased to know that the GR Corolla will also make an appearance this time around.

The GR Corolla is the sporty version of the Corolla hatchback developed by Toyota’s Gazoo Racing (GR) division. The car is based on the TNGA platform with several structural modifications. The car also uses lightweight materials for an overall kerb weight of 1,474 kg.

The GR Corolla is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-litre, 3-cylinder engine that develops 300 BHP and 370 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

The GR Corolla looks rather striking in its sporty avatar. The car is equipped with a wide body kit featuring a large grille up front and triple exhausts at the rear. It also gets vents on the front fenders, larger wheels, and a rear spoiler.
