Toyota Innova Hycross leaks ahead of official debut

The Innova Hycross will be unveiled in India on November 25. The car is likely to be launched at Auto Expo 2023.

The first official image of the Toyota Innova Hycross has leaked online. The MPV will be unveiled in Indonesia on November 21.

The Innova Hycross will be called 'Innova Zenix' in Indonesia. In this front ¾ view, the car looks more like an SUV. It has a large trapezoidal grille with LED headlamps on either side. The front bumper has triangular vents that house LED daytime running lights.

Moving to the side, the Hycross gets flared wheel arches and a wraparound tail lamp. The alloy wheels offered on this MPV appear to be slightly larger than those on the Innova Crysta.

Inside, the Innova Hycross is expected to get a different dashboard layout with a touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. The car is also expected to get features like a panoramic sunroof with roof-mounted AC vents, a digital instrument cluster, height-adjustable seat belts and ambient lighting as well as ADAS.

The Innova Hycross is said to be based on the TNGA-C platform and will be front-wheel drive only. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid engine, details of which are still unclear. In India, the Innova Hycross is expected to be positioned above the current Innova Crysta. Maruti Suzuki will also have its own version of the MPV.
