Toyota Urban Cruiser launch on September 23, 2020

Toyota has announced that it will launch the Urban Cruiser suv-4 meter SUV on September 23, 2020.

Toyota had started accepting bookings for the Urban Cruiser on August 22. The carmaker is offering free 2-year maintenance for customers who pre-book the car.

The Urban Cruiser is a re-badged Maruti Vitara Brezza. It is expected to be offered in three variants - Mid, High and Premium. The crossover will come equipped with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, auto-dimming IRVM, rain sensing wipers, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as cruise control. LED projector headlamps will be standard across all variants.

The Urban Cruiser will be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine. This unit produces 104 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm @ 4,400 rpm. All three variants will be offered with a choice of a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. Automatic variants will get a lithium-ion battery with an integrated starter generator (ISG).
